Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents welcomed Bella in the Philippines, on February 9, 1997. Her grandmother had lived in the streets for three years until she reached her age, when she was placed into care. Her adopted father, a Filipina-American who has a military background has a white background and is American. She claims she along with her adopted brother as well as their mother were subjected to abuse when they were children, until she joined the military. The family lived with her uncle at San Francisco for several months before moving back to Texas for her 13th birthday because of the necessity of her father to undergo bypass surgery. She says the physical violence subsided after a short time, but she was still forced to endure the psychological abuse her father inflicted on her. After turning 18, she joined an organization called the United States Navy. Poarch started her TikTok profile in April 2020. Within a short time, she had more than forty million fans. Her most notable success came from the music video she created for the hit Millie B song Soph Aspin Send. She synthesized and moved to the beat in a video that was zoomed out. The actress started her YouTube and Twitter accounts within the month after her signing up to TikTok to take advantage of her growing fame. The fame of Poarch reached its height in December of 2020. Poarch was reportedly the subject of interest of two professionals Esports teams. 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan expressed interest in hiring her as a content creator under their respective brands.
